| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of present study was to examine the process by which social behaviors are transformed in response to social situations from the perspective of gender and enclothed cognition. In particular, present study focused on capturing the characteristics of the selfie-taking behavior: the process of adjusting the selfie-image so that the self is well photographed, and the change as a reaction to the impression management goal. A series of studies suggested that the social behavior of men and women is influenced and transformed by the characteristics of their clothing and the situation. However, there is not enough data to show the effect of social circumstances on the process of contrast effects, and further study is needed.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
人の社会的行動は自分の衣服や状況に伴って変容するが，本研究はその影響を実証的に検討したものである。被服は不可欠な社会的行動であるが，本研究の成果により，被服の在り方によってわれわれの社会的行動が様々な形で影響を受けて変化することが示唆された。とくに本研究は，ピンク色の衣服が女性的な行動を生起させるかを取り上げた。「ピンク色は女の子の色」は社会的に作られたステレオタイプであることが近年注目されている。本研究の知見はそうした社会的に作られたステレオタイプが被服を通して顕現化することで，非意識的に女性的行動を引き出してしまうことを通して，ステレオタイプの再生産を引き出す可能性を示唆している。
