Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The aim of this research is to establish educational method for learners to acquire project management skills required by agile team members, a facilitator, and a product owner using role-play training based on Learning Theory on Legitimate Peripheral Participation. In order for learners to have a simulated experience through role-play, a role-play scenario is developed according to an agile software development process model. The model is represented as a system dynamics model involving factors declining productivity of the team and practices, and queuing model simulating productivity of the team. The hypothetical project throughout the whole lecture course is the development of a registration system for a student to register the course, and a topic derived from the context in the project is implemented into the scenario. We present the effectiveness of the proposed method for learners to utilize the decontextualized knowledge learned in the classroom lecture in the practical field.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
