Research Abstract |
Although calorie restriction is known to reduce radiation-induced cancer, little is understood for its mechanism. We have challenged this problem by studying mutation, chromosome abnormality, genome-wide gene expression, etc. The results showed no effect on mutation and chromosome abnormality. mRNA levels, on the other hand, revealed some alterations. These would provide important clues for further analyses of the problem.
