Research Abstract

微小球共振器は、球の表面近傍に存在する"ささやきの回廊"とよばれる軌道に光を閉じ込める。これらの共鳴モードは球と相互作用する光の位相を大きく変調し、分散による光の伝播制御や、さらには、光の凍結に大きな可能性を持っている。本研究では、外部光と微小球の結合の強さを制御することで、単一のシステムで速い光と遅い光の両者を観測することに成功した。また、結合共振器系では、電磁気学的誘起透明化現象の古典的なアナログ現象に対応する風変わりなスペクトル構造とそれに対応した分散構造が現れることを明らかにした。
