Research Abstract

シラン系無機-有機複合高分子を母材として、プロトン伝導性の膜を作製した。試料は約0.2mmの厚みをもち、透明で均一な膜であった。プロトン伝導性を高めるために、物質中のメルカプト基を酸化することにより、スルホン基を生成させた。また、機械的な強度と化学的な強度を両立するために、シリコンと酸素が交互に結びついたシロキサン結合の歪みを小さくする条件を探索した。電気伝導度は室温~80℃の無加湿下においてフッ素樹脂系プロトン伝導体の加湿下と同程度の値を示し、作製した電解質膜は燃料電池の隔膜として優れた特性を示すことが分かった。
