Research Abstract

本研究は、ホタルイカ生物発光の分子機構の解明を目的に行った。この発光機構に関しては、すでに発光に必要な化学成分は明らかにされていた。しかし、発光にかかわる成分が極めて不安定であるため、発光に関する研究は進んでいなかった。申請者は、この発光にかかわる成分の安定化法を見出し、また、簡便な租精製法を見出し、in vitroで発光反応を再現できるようにした。これにより、この発光反応に関する各種の基礎的データを取得し、その発光の特性を明らかとした。
