Research Abstract |
Under the current framework of welfare regime both in Japan and Germany, care work both in terms of paid and unpaid would not be able to get solid evaluation. Formal knowledge has been considered as true knowledge which can be obtained through formal educational system, while 'tacit knowing', which is crucial for emotional work in care work, has not been appropriately recognized. In order for care work to be fully evaluated, society would be rebuilt based on the new value system emphasizing the aspects of qualified life and living of people.
