Research Abstract |
This project aimed to elucidate the characteristics of the American Renaissance literature by examining (literary) nationalism in the works of mid-nineteenth-century America, based on the studies accomplished from the perspective of race, class and gender. And the results of this project make it clear that the element of nationalism is very useful in comprehensive understanding of American Renaissance literature.
