| Research Abstract |
19世紀の日韓の讃美歌曲はミクロネシアとポリネシアの中ではミクロネシアとハワイとに共通するものが多く、これに比べるとハワイを除くポリネシアの讃美歌曲との関係が比較的薄い。
讃美歌から近代歌謡が形成される筋道に関しては、タヒチに見られるように、讃美歌と土着の歌謡とが融合する場合があり、サモアに見られるように讃美歌曲を独自に作曲する場合がある。
日本を含めた太平洋全域における讃美歌の普及と捕鯨活動との密接な関係がある。
