Research Abstract |
There are a lot of folk performing arts in some islands around Kyushu mainland. The islands were located on the sea route, and between Japan and foreign countries, like China, Korea and Okinawa (Ryukyu). The performing arts were much influenced by that locations. We can find both the same points and different points in those performing arts. It shows that we have to understand the folk performing arts are cultural, historical and regional existence, and research them on each local context carefully. The folk performing arts in some islands around Kyushu mainland are full of variety.
