Research Abstract

本研究では,アモルファスシリカを対象材料として,化学的プロセスを適用することによって,ナノ粒子分散セラミックスの作製を進め,水素の吸着特性に優れた材料の合成を目的としており,種々の遷移金属等をナノサイズでアモルファスシリカ(Si-O)に分散させる技術を検討してきた.試料の合成法は,金属有機前駆体の液相反応を利用した化学的プロセスでSi-M-Oアモルファス相を合成し,これを雰囲気制御下で加熱処理してナノ粒子分散アモルファス構造をその場形成させている.主な成果は, 1)アモルファス構造から,ナノ粒子分散シリカへの変換過程を解析し,ナノ粒子形成メカニズムを提案した. 2)合成したNiナノ粒子分散シリカを透過電子顕微鏡観察することにより,粒子分散挙動を精密に解析し,水素の可逆的な吸着挙動と微構造との関係を解析できた. 3)シリカに希土類を添加させたSi-O-Ln結合を生成させることにより,耐水蒸気特性に優れたセラミックス分離膜の合成が可能になった.本研究により,ナノ粒子が分散する特徴的な微構造を有する材料の合成と水素吸着特性についての一連の研究成果が得られたことで意義がある.
