Research Abstract |
一般に非鉄金属材料の棒材ならびに管材の強化法としては引き抜き加工が利用されているが、この方法はサイズの異なるダイスを複数使用する複雑な加工法である。これに対して著者は新しい材料強化法として「ねじり戻し加工」を発見し、各種アルミニウム合金について実験を行い、その有効性を実証している。また加工材の表面には圧縮残留応力が生じ、これが60/40黄銅(α+β黄銅)の欠点とされる応力腐食割れの防止に有効ではないかとの観点から本研究を行った。その結果、ねじり戻し加工法が黄銅材料の強化ならびに応力腐食割れ防止いずれに対しても有効な加工法であることを実証することができた。
