原型プロペラの幾何形状およびその他幾つかの設計パラメータを入力するだけでキャビテーション等の制約を考慮しつつプロペラ性能が最高となるようなプロペラ幾何形状を自動的に求めようとする設計支援ツールに、様々な翼型の境界層計算結果を学習させたニューラルネットワークにより翼型の粘性抗力係数を短時間に推定できるような翼型性能の簡易推定法を組み込んで、計算時間の増大を招くことなくツールの信頼性を高めた。
