| Research Abstract |
自然選択圧の変化に対応した適応形質の進化的喪失と再獲得の歴史が当該形質の発生過程に刻印されているとの作業仮説を立て、伊豆諸島と伊豆半島に固有なオカダトカゲの色彩パタンの進化をシマヘビの捕食を回避する形質として比較研究した。その結果、オカダトカゲの不明瞭なストライプと不鮮明な尾部の青色パタンはまずシマヘビのいない状態で先に進化し、シマヘビが伊豆諸島に後から侵入して、色彩パタンの明瞭化が進化したことがわかった。
