Research Abstract

果樹の主幹部に幅数mmの連結用樹皮を残し、部分的環状剥皮を施し、連結用樹皮の再生を種々の方法で抑制することによって、果樹の小樹化を図ったところ、樹体成長が抑制された。連結用の樹皮を定期的に元の幅に切り戻すと新梢の成長が抑制された。また、植物成長抑制剤のABA, ヒノキチール、トロポロンなどを連結樹皮に処理すると、樹皮の再生と樹体成長の抑制に効果があった。これらの化学物質を連結樹皮部位にのみ処理するので環境にも優しい技術といえる。また、全樹種に適応できる技術であると思われる。
