Research Abstract	カプサイシン含有のトウガラシ品種にカプシエイト生合成能があり、カプシエイト含有品種にカプサイシン生合成能があることを明らかにした。両品種は、カプサイシンあるいはカプシエイトの最終生合成酵素と推定されるアシルトランスフェラーゼをコードする遺伝子を有しており、両品種で同一のものであった。カプサイシン、カプシエイトの最終合成酵素は同一であるが、前駆体としてバニリルアルコールが供給される場合に、カプシエイト蓄積が優位になることが示唆された。
