Research Abstract |
研究者代表者はCa^(2+)結合能を有する小胞体タンパク質caluminをモデル分子として、小胞体発シグナルの分子論的理解を目指した.樹立したcalumin欠損マウスの75%は胎児期に死亡した. 背景に体液循環異常が示唆され、実際、同胎児の心血管系形成は未熟な段階で停止していた. また、Ca^(2+)依存性転写因子NFATの活性化が阻害されており、NFATc3/c4二重欠損マウスとの類似性(胎生致死、心血管異常)を鑑みると、caluminとNFATの機能共役が小胞体発シグナルの分子基盤の一端を成すと考えられた.
