| Research Abstract |
本研究の目的は遺伝子多型解析という最新の手法を用いて、心筋梗塞、脳血管障害などの基礎病態である動脈硬化症の発生に関係する遺伝子を同定する事である。対象症例はセンターで行われた約2,000例の連続病理解剖症例であり、冠状動脈、脳動脈などの全身10動脈の動脈硬化度と各種遺伝子多型の関連を解析した。その結果、炎症性サイトカイン、葉酸代謝に関係する酵素、リポタンパクの遺伝子が動脈硬化症に関係していることを見つけた。
