Research Abstract

炭酸脱水酵素-関連蛋白(CA-related protein, CA-RP)が癌細胞の進展を増強する分子メカニズムについて検討した。3種類のCA-RP(VIII, X, XI)はいずれも細胞質内、特に核周囲に多く存在していた。CA-RP VIIIはaminoacyl-tRNAをリボゾームに搬送するeukaryotic translation elongation factor alpha 1(EEF1A1)と細胞内で結合することが確認された。また、CA-RP VIIIおよびXIは上皮細胞の分化やアポトーシスを誘導するKeratinocyte growth factor receptor(KGFR)の発現を抑制していることが示された.以上より、CA-RPが癌細胞の増殖・浸潤能を増強する細胞内メカニズムとして、EEF1A1を介しKGFRなどの蛋白翻訳を抑制した結果、アポトーシスが低下する機序が想定された。
