Research Abstract |
グルコース応答性でβ細胞の諸機能の発揮に必須の転写因子MafAの制御機構の解明を通じて膵島β細胞がグルコース濃度を感知して応答する分子機構の解明を目指した. MafAタンパク質がリン酸化依存的に低グルコース条件下で分解が促進されること、MafAの分解はPA28γタンパク質によって促進されることを明らかにした. この分解促進はこれまでに知られていない新規の分解系であった. また、MafAのリン酸化依存的に結合する新規因子を同定した.
