Research Abstract

筋肉内部の血流が滞った状態(虚血状態)で筋肉を収縮させると、強い痛みが生じる。この時、痛みを伝える感覚神経は、筋肉組織で起こるいかなる変化を感知して興奮するのであろうか-そこで、筋肉を支配する感覚神経の性質を詳しく調べるため、ラットを用いた新しい実験方法を開発した。これまでに、痛みを伝える感覚神経の一部は、虚血による筋肉の「酸性化」を感知する可能性があることがわかった。今後も実験を継続し、虚血性筋肉痛の成り立ちを解明することが目標である
