Research Abstract |
We have developed a new single photon detection technique which is based on superconducting phenomena. Photons incident to a superconducting detector break a superconducting state in the detector, which results in a voltage signal. We have succeeded to develop ultra thin superconducting films to enhance photon detection sensitivity. This new technology can lead to a generation information technology, extremely low level photon detection, and a new medical analysis.
