Research Abstract |
In order to clarify the basis of pseudo classical "monogatari" in the Medieval Ages, I developed a new research program. The basis includes all literary works which had an influence on writing "monogatari" in the previous and the same ages. The topics I dealt here are as follows : how the waka poems concerned appear in the poems in other literary works, especially in "monogatari," the original poems, and the quoted poems. I tried to find a way of searching for the quoted expressions with a computer. As a result, it was proved effective to measure to what degree the character strings in the waka poems concerned coincide with those in other ones. Based on the findings, I developed a new research program.
