Research Abstract

英国18世紀小説の特徴を再考するために、Daniel DefoeやEliza Haywoodの作品について研究し、口頭発表と論文で成果を公表した。特に、従来は内在的に発展したとされてきた英国18世紀小説のリアリズムが、実は17世紀フランス文学との影響関係のなかで育まれたことを示した。また、文学史に関する考察や、現代日本文学と英国18世紀小説の関係を考察する論考も発表した。
