Research Abstract

本研究の目的は、1.5GPa以上の高圧力を低温で発生でき、キャパシタンス式ファラデー法極低温磁化測定装置で用いることができる小型のクランプ式圧力容器の開発とその強相関電子系への応用である。そこでNiCrAl製ピストン・シリンダー型圧力容器,インデンター型圧力容器とダイヤモンドアンビルセルの3種類の圧力容器の開発を試み、MPMS(Quantum Design社製)の磁化測定装置を用いた性能テストを行った。その結果、NiCrAl製ピストン・シリンダー型圧力容器では液体ヘリウム温度での目標圧力だった約2GPaを発生でき、インデンター型圧力容器では3GPaに近い圧力を発生できた。これによって1.5GPa以上の高圧力下での極低温磁化測定に目処が立った。しかしながら、ダイヤモンドアンビルセルついてはキャパシタンス式ファラデー法磁化測定法に必要な試料空間を確保して設計することができず、ダイヤモンドアンビルセルを用いた磁化測定装置の開発は残念ながら今後の課題として残った。
