Research Abstract

高分子溶液に温度勾配を与えるとルードビッヒ・ソレー効果により濃度勾配が形成される。一般に重い成分である高分子が温度勾配の低温側に移動するが、生体高分子では高温側へ移動するという異常な振る舞いが見いだされた。しかしそのメカニズムは不明であり、ルードビッヒ・ソレー効果をはじめとする不可逆的な輸送現象は研究すべき事柄が数多く残されたままである。本研究は、外場として温度勾配を作用させた高分子溶液において輸送係数に影響を与える高分子の分子物性を詳細に調べた。これによりいくつかの重要な知見が得られたので以下に述べる。
