Research Abstract

環境に優しいLED バックライトを用いた液晶テレビに対し、画像適応調光方式を適用すべく調光パラメータの最適化を図った。一般的なテレビ映像に対しては、調光段階数を5、領域を16×12 分割、発光分布の広がりを領域分割幅程度とすれば、従来方式の約半分の電力にできる可能性があることがわかった。また提案方式を応用したカラーブレイクアップの低減方法や、低輝度階調特性の向上など高画質化技術を提案し、その効果を確かめた。
