Research Abstract

次世代の構造用鉄鋼材料として期待されているTWIP (Twinning Induced Pasticity : 「双晶変形」の意)鋼の結晶粒微細化により、高強度と高延性が両立できる理由を実験により検証した。結晶粒を1μm程度にまで微細化した場合、TWIP鋼の超高延性発現メカニズムとして考えられてる双晶変形の発現が著しく抑制されるにも関わらず、大きな延性は損なわれない。TWIP鋼の大きな延性発現メカニズムとして、従来言われているような双晶変形のみによるのではなく、低積層欠陥エネルギーに起因する動的回復の抑制も重要であることを示唆している。
