Research Abstract

本研究により、自発的な甘味飲料の摂取が、視床下部オレキシン・ニューロンを活性化し、視床下部腹内側核-交感神経-β2アドレナリン受容体経路を介して骨格筋でのグルコース代謝を促進することが明らかとなった。上記経路を介したオレキシンシステムは、味覚刺激を伴う報酬作用により賦活化し、骨格筋における糖代謝を調節することで、生体内の恒常性を巧みに維持および制御すると考えられ、同時に、この経路の破綻は、肥満や糖尿病の形成につながる可能性がある。
