Research Abstract

和漢薬の一つである乾姜エキスの抗微生物作用を検討した。微生物としてインフルエンザウイルスを指標とした。乾姜エキス自体には、インフルエンザウイルスの増殖を直接的に抑制する効果はないものの、乾姜エキスを投与したマウスにおいては、生体防御機能を向上させ、この生体防御機能を介してインフルエンザウイルス増殖抑制効果、インフルエンザからの早期回復が確認された。乾姜エキスは生体防御機能を向上させることにより、抗微生物作用を表すことが示唆された。
