Research Abstract

カツラという樹木の木部組織には水の過冷却を促進するフラボノイドが存在する。本研究によって、このフラボノイドの木部組織における局在性と量的な季節変化が明らかになった。また、フラボノイドの過冷却促進効果はアグリコンと糖鎖の組み合わせにより大きく変化することを明らかにした。さらに、カツラ由来のcDNA ライブラリの調製など、フラボノイドの蓄積量を改変した形質転換樹木の作出の準備を進めた。
