| Outline of Research at the Start |
難民や不法移民等の非正規入国者への対応が本格化する2010年代以降、各国の多文化共生論に生じた変化について、人権・社会政策・入国管理という個別政策の改革論と、多文化共生政策形成システム全体に関する改革論に則して考察する。そのため、政治哲学と政治史学が協働し、各改革の基本構想形成過程や具体的実施過程で生じた論争に関して多面的な比較を行い、1980年代以降今日に至る多文化共生論の全体像を明らかにする。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This project attempts to highlight important features of multicultural policies by comparing theories and political practices of North American, Western European, Northern European, Eastern European, and Asian countries. It does so by focusing on the new trends in human rights policies, social policies, and border control policies in those multicultural societies over the past decade.

本研究からは、世界の多様な国家が行っている多文化共生政策の普遍的特質と個別的な差異に関して、政治哲学的な手法を活用して明確化すると同時に、それら普遍性や差異が生じた歴史的経緯について、政治史的手法を活用して体系的な知識が獲得できる。同時に、本研究からは、日本社会が今後目指すべき多文化共生政策の方向性に関する知識の獲得も期待できる。
