| Outline of Research at the Start |
近年、学校現場において「子どもの生命・生活を守る」ための安全・防犯教育の実施が喫緊の課題となっている。そのような社会状況を背景に本研究においては、１．子ども達が自分で自分の身を守る能力・技能を獲得するための体系的な安全・防犯教育カリキュラムの開発を行うこと、２．開発したカリキュラムを小中学校の現場で実践し、カリキュラム評価を行うことの2点を行っていく。評価に際しては、安全・防犯教育の中心として【危険認識】【情報探求】【対策実行】の3つのステップを設定し、それぞれのステップにおいて子どもの認知・行動の変容を効果測定の指標とし、その指標に基づいた評価を行う。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we have undertaken curriculum development, implementation, and effectiveness assessment to promote safety education across three subjects: water accident prevention, cybercrime prevention, and shoplifting prevention. In the case of cybercrime prevention and shoplifting prevention education, we have devised comprehensive teaching materials and carried out practical instruction based on the developed materials. As for water accident prevention education, we have developed a more hands-on educational curriculum and explored the applicability of risk perception through practical exercises. Through this series of investigations, we have observed that the developed educational materials and curriculum exhibit a certain degree of effectiveness and practicality in the educational field. However, further research is required to establish the generalizability of risk perception.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
子どもが巻き込まれる災害や犯罪は、年を追うごとに増加している傾向がある昨今、本研究で志向した安全・防犯教育に資するカリキュラム開発は子どもの命を直接的に守る研究であるといえる。その点において本研究課題は非常に大きな意義を有する。さらに安全・防犯教育は社会の根幹をなすものでもあり、教育現場における安全・防犯教育カリキュラムの開発は巨視的には持続可能な社会の実現に資するものに繋がるものでもある。初等中等教育の段階で「自分の身を自分で守る」方略を学んだ子どもたちが大人になった際に、次世代の子どもたちへと学んだことを伝える事によって、危険・脅威への対処方略の世代間継承が期待される。
