Outline of Research at the Start

決定論的な力学系である古典可積分系に対して、確率論を用いた新しい解析手法を確立することを目的とする。ここでは、箱玉系をはじめとする離散時空間上の可積分系に対して、確率論における Pitman 変換の観点を導入し、ランダムな初期状態の振舞いを考えることで、確率論の観点から可積分系の多彩な性質を明らかにしていく。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度、特殊関数理論の観点から,量子状態の転送問題や出生死滅過程の可解なモデルを構成し,Krawtchouk多項式の多変数版と代数的組合せ論との関係や例外型直交多項式について新たな進展が得られた。例外型拡張については,一般化固有値問題に付随するLaurent双直交多項式へとその対象を広げることに成功した。また,箱玉系に関する研究においては,負の整数を含めた整数列に対しても有効な組合せ論的線形化手法について成果が得られた。さらに,確率論の観点から,二変数の全単射が独立性保存則を持つこととYang-Baxter写像であることとの関連についての研究を進めた。このような観点での研究はこれまでに全くなかった革新的なアプローチである。昨年度までの研究成果により、離散可積分系が独立同分布の不変測度を持つことと、局所的な時間発展法則を定める二変数の全単射が独立性保存則を持つことが、同値であることが明らかになっており、独立同分布の不変測度を持つということが可積分性とどのように関連するのか、という問題意識から生まれた問いである。このような観点でYang-Baxter写像の中でも特にquadrirational mapと呼ばれるクラスの写像を調べ、正の実数の組から正の実数の組へのquadrirational mapは全て独立性保存則を持つことを明らかにした。さらに、確率論で古くから知られている独立性保存則を持つ例のほとんどが、これらquadrirational mapの変数変換や特異極限などで得られることを示した。

Reason

当初計画していた離散可積分系に対する確率論的な手法による解析にとどまらず、Yang-Baxter写像と独立性保存則との関連という新しい大きなテーマが見出され、具体的な成果もあげることができた。また、当初計画の中心であった箱玉系についての研究も順調に進んでおり、箱玉系の線形化についての新しい見方を用いてソリトンの振る舞いの中心極限定理を得るといった研究の深化が進んでいる。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

箱玉系をはじめとするセルオートマトン系ならびに離散力学系に対して,これまでの研究の中で明らかになった解析手法を確率論的な手法と融合していく方針については,今後も推進していく予定である。当初の方針に加え、Yang-Baxter写像と独立性保存則の関係について、超離散版や行列版などの類似の結果への拡張を行うと同時に、これらの関係の本質的な構造を明らかにすることを目指す。現時点では、直接的な関係については明らかになっていないが、本結果は様々な背景を持つ研究者からも注目されており、多くの共同研究が始まりつつある。また、箱玉系の一般化流体力学極限については、引き続き、より一般の離散可積分系に対して一般化流体力学極限を厳密に証明することを目指す。まずは変形された箱玉系を対象とし、その後は離散KdV方程式、さらに長期的にはKdV方程式へのアプローチも目指していく計画である。
