Outline of Research at the Start

マイクロフルイディクス(微小流体工学)を駆使して厚さ約1マイクロメートルの液体薄膜を生成し、水の窓(波長2.3～4.4ナノメートル)軟Ｘ線による液相の時間分解測定を実現させることを目的とする。水の背景信号に埋もれた溶質分子からの微かな信号を選択的に検出できる、分子の電子状態や構造の変化を鋭敏に検出できる、といった特徴は反応ダイナミクス研究に大きな革新をもたらす。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

これまでの研究により、CおよびN原子のK吸収端をカバーする水の窓軟Ｘ線（カットオフ～400 eV）が得られている。この軟Ｘ線パルスをプローブ光、マルチプレートスペクトルブロードニング法とシングルパス三倍波発生とを組み合わせて得られた20 fsの深紫外光パルスをポンプ光とする、過渡吸収分光装置の開発を行った。同装置の性能評価を行うために、N原子を含むヘテロ環状分子であるピラジンを試料とし、その光化学反応ダイナミクスの観測を試みている途上である。その後は錯体反応や触媒反応、生体分子の反応へと応用範囲を広げていきたいと考えている。
