| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究は、大阪という地方で刊行され、関西文壇と東京文壇の合流する場でもあった文芸誌『小天地』に関して、データベースを作成し、それを分析することで、この文芸誌の特異性や多面性を明らかにしていくことを目的とする。
また、さらにこの雑誌を分析・検討を通して、個人の作家研究に限らず、散文・韻文両方を含めた日本近代文学研究全体、さらには美術・風俗・出版・ジャーナリズム・社会史といった多分野において、意義のある見解を導き出すことを最終目標とする。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this KAKENHI program, each member presented a paper related to this research topic, and the entire group made a panel presentation at the Autumn Conference of the Kansai Branch of the Society for Modern Japanese Literature. At the same panel presentation, under the title of "Fundamental Research on the Magazine 'Shoutenchi': A Case of Local Literary Media in the Meiji Period-", member Shoji acted as moderator, while Kakeno, Takemoto, and Nishiyama acted as panelists. It was decided to take the stage.
In addition, based on the panel presentation, we created and published a reprint of "Shotenchi" as a culmination of research funded by this KAKENHI. In particular, a commentary edition was attached as a separate volume, and data such as ``Synopsis of the works published in the ``Shotenchi'' novel list'' and the ``Shotenchi'' author index'' were released along with the papers of each member.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
明治期大阪の画期的な文芸誌であるにもかかわらず、これまでほとんど研究されずに歴史に埋もれていた『小天地』という雑誌の存在価値を、文学のみならず美術や社会史に関わる多面的なアプローチにより浮かび上がらせたところに、本研究成果の学術的意義がある。
また、多くが散逸してしまい、全２５巻を通読することは困難な状態にあった『小天地』を、収集したデータや論稿を別冊として付しつつ復刻できたのは、学術的のみならず社会的にもたいへん有意義なことであった。今後、日本近代文学研究にとどまらない文化史、ジャーナリズム、美術史の研究など、様々な研究領域での利用が期待される。
