| Outline of Research at the Start |
2015年のユネスコ勧告により、教育はミュージアムの主要機能の一つであると明言された。 中でも展示解説は、ミュージアムでの教育の根幹を成すものである。しかし現在の展示解説は、個人の前知識や文化背景といったコンテキストに関わらず一様であったり、展示室だけの一過性の体験に留まったりするものも多い。しかしながら、ミュージアムでの体験は、個人の興味に応じ、事前に準備をしたり、現場で能動的に知識を深めたり、事後に蓄積したものを呼び出したりつなげたりすることでより豊かになり得る。本研究は、上記の視座にたちミュージアム体験をより豊かにする展示解説の在り方を調査、分析し、開発するための基礎研究である。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study is a basic research to examine how the commentary of artworks can enrich the museum experience, and consists of the following three parts.
(1) A survey of Korean museums that utilizes the latest technology has shown how visitors choose the styles of experience according to their needs. (2) The study of the Tokyo National Museum was able to give information about visitors' movements trends inside the museum, which had not been objectively shown previously. (3) A prototype database was created to determine the degree of relationship between works based on period, artist, genre, influences, and subject matter.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
ミュージアムへの来館者が増加、多様化する中で、個人ごとに異なるニーズや知識にあわせた作品解説や、来館の前後に来館中の体験を補完できるしくみは重要であり、今回作成したデータベースは、ひとつの可能性を示すことができた。本データベースの特徴は、ユーザーのもつ背景知識に左右されず直感的に気になる作品を選び、そこを皮切りに関連する作品を見つけたり、自分の関心にあわせて深堀りができることである。今回はプロトタイプの作成に留まったが、今後どのようにすればより精度の高いデータベースになるか、見通しを立てることができた。
