| Outline of Research at the Start |
「声変わり」は第二次性徴のひとつであるが、音楽活動を積極的に行ってきた子どもたちにとっては音楽とのかかわりを左右する極めて重大な出来事である。変声期前後の音楽学習については指導法や教材開発は進んでいるものの個人とコミュニティの関係から変声を受容する過程を詳細に検討した研究は未だに少ない。本研究では、合唱活動に積極的にかかわる変声期前後の男子児童生徒に着目し、歌声の変容を音声解析という科学的アプローチと子ども自身が変化をどのように語るかという質的アプローチを組み合わせることによって、変声期前後の自己受容の過程を捉え、そこに及ぼす合唱団というコミュニティの役割と教育的機能を明らかにする。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to analyze the process of self-acceptance during the period of voice change, and to clarify the role and educational function of the musical community of the choir.The method used was interviews with children and adults who actively participate in choral activities, as well as a field survey.
As a result of the analysis, three points were pointed out.①Voice changes, including voice alterations, are closely related to the formation of human identity.② Acceptance of changes in voice takes place through the “body”③Music communities outside of school education are required to play a role as a place for individual empowerment.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究において、音楽科教育の文脈では「指導」という側面での教師からの働きかけが主な視点として取り上げられていることが明らかとなった。一方で、個々の状態を把握、共有、共感しようとすることで抜け落ちる「個の感覚」の存在とその重要性を指摘した。変声という身体の変容の過程では、個々の内部探索に基づく言語化が、一時的な不調状態からの脱却の手段として機能する可能性が示唆された。
以上のことを踏まえ、児童期の音楽コミュニティに重要な視点として、個をエンパワメントする場としての役割を指摘した。これらの成果については，学会発表で公開している。
