Outline of Research at the Start	生命は40億年の歴史の中で、地球上の重力に適応、進化してきた。しかしその一方で生命が地球上の重力という環境をどのように利用し、遺伝子発現を制御しているのか？という問いは、基本的なものであるのに関わらず驚くべきほどよくわかっていない。本研究では、セントラルドグマの中核をなす「翻訳」が重力によってどのように影響されるか、というこれまでの生物学の歴史で全く研究されていないフロンティアに挑戦する。
