本研究は基課題である異質性を考慮した因果効果推定の方法論を２つの点において発展させ、基課題の研究成果である方法論をより社会的に意義がある形で利用できるようにするものである。より具体的には近年政府や自治体、企業なども社会課題の解決のために取り組み始め施策効果を高めるために活用している行動経済学に基づく介入に資するように、基課題の拡張として行動経済学や医療経済学に関する応用研究を当該分野のトップ研究者とともに実施する。またこの応用研究の過程で必ず必要であると思われる、基課題の研究課題の一つである適応的デザインへの方法論開発の発展的研究として不完全な動的デザイン法の開発を行う。
