Research Abstract |
We investigated the physiological roles of three neuropeputide systems in the regulation of emotional reaction and amygdala function. We report here that neuropeptide B/W receptor1 (NPBWR1) plays a critical role in amygdala function mediating stress response and social behavior in both mice and humans. We have established QRFP-deficient mice for studying the role of this peptide in near future.
