| Research Abstract |
We aimed to take communication with a foreigner by pictographs. We have researched to clarify the difference of pictograph icons and the sentence between the use of the Japanese and that of the foreigner. The results of the researches suggested that the Japanese uses circle(○) in the case of the correct answer, but the foreigner uses checkmark(.). Including slang, it was suggested that the pictographs just succeeded the characteristic of each language. The Japanese described even a pictograph by grammar of SOV basically, and the foreigner described it by grammar of SVO basically, but we understood that even a Japanese described it in SVO.
