Research Abstract |
In this study, an investigation on the actual conditions how much musical literacychildren/ students in preschool, elementary and junior high school have acquired was conducted ; besides analyses of instruction methods in music education andinvestigative methods for musical ability were conducted. As a consequence of the investigation and the analyses, it was revealed that the development of musical literacy has various aspects, and what the necessary conditions for fostering musical ability are. On the basis of these findings, we designed a tentative music curriculum aimed at fostering musical ability in collaboration between elementary and junior high school.
