| Research Abstract |
In the Chengdu Plain, anciently called Shu, in Sichuan province, excavations on sites of iron production were carried out. At Tienucun site located in Pujiang prefecture of Chengdu city, features related with iron production were found and they are dated to Western and Eastern Han period. At Gushishan site, ruin of smelting furnace was found. After these excavations, characteristics of furnace and products dated to Han period in the Chengdu Plain are clarified
