Research Abstract |
This research investigated aspects of international reception and artistic exchanges of modern Japanese prints during the period from the 1950s to the 1960s, when international attention on and estimation of Japanese modernist prints peaked. The research resulted in : a list of overseas exhibitions of modern Japanese prints ; compilation of material and on foreign collectors and interviews with relevant individuals ; and documentation on the artistic exchanges in and around Seattle.
