Research Abstract |
This project investigated 474 books which John Wolfe, one of the most active printers of the Elizabethan England, has dealt with between 1560 and 1601. While Tomita and Mizuno worked together collecting and compiling materials which were available in Japan, Tomita was responsible for researching and collecting materials in England and Italy. We made a database on the books whose publication Wolfe has taken a part in some way or other. It is to be published together with their bibliographical descriptions in future.
