Research Abstract |
My study focused on two topics. Regarding the first topic, I examined the impact of the development of atypical employment forms on the early process of family formation in Japan and in France. I found that it has a significantly negative effect on family formation in Japan. As a second topic, I viewed economic mechanisms causing a child labor problem from the historical perspective. I showed that the child labor problem of Japan was caused by not only the labor demand and supply side but also by the employment system and the gender problem.
