Research Abstract |
The aim of this study is to clarify the reconstruction of community in the process of disaster recovery. So we surveyed that process by using interviews and the questionnaire method in Niigata Prefecture. As a result, we confirmed that the revaluation of the neighborhood and cooperation with diverse actors, such as NPOs outside the community, affects various social relationships and reflects them, then renews them in the stricken area. We found there the clues to the recovery from disaster and reactivation of mountain and rural community.
