Research Abstract |
A thin and wide area NaI(Tl) scintillator for cosmic dark matter search was developed. The NaI(Tl) has a good sensitivity for the candidates for cosmic dark matter. The dimension of the scintillator was 0.5cm×15cm×15cm. The scintillation photons were collected at the four ends of thinner edges. The energy resolution and energy threshold were tested. The energy resolution was 20% in full-width-half-maximum at 60keV. The energy threshold was as low as 3keV. These performances were suitable for cosmic dark matter search.
