Research Abstract |
The present study was conducted to examine the relationship between the characteristics of presumption methods and nursing care. Subjects were nurses working in general hospitals. Using the scene in which patients and nurses appear as a stimulus, semi-structured interviews were conducted to collect data. Nurses presumed the psychological state of patients based on their actions. Concerning the relationship between the psychological state of patients and nursing care, optimistic presumption could lead to the provision of inappropriate nursing care.
